PALS Inc. is looking for enthusiastic participants to volunteer at our op shops and join our Canteen Essentials team. Learn more about these opportunities below and if you’re interested in learning more or signing up, please get in touch!

Join the Numurkah Canteen Essentials team

If you want to build life skills, gain confidence, and become an active part of your local community, please apply to join the Numurkah Canteen Essentials team!

The main function of this hands-on program is to support the school canteen at Numurkah Primary School.

It's a fantastic opportunity for adults with disability who’d like to build independence and gain skills as you are encouraged to get involved in every step of the process, including:

  • Shopping for fresh ingredients

  • Preparing healthy school lunches

  • Customer service, chatting with staff and students

  • Delivering lunches to the school each day

Along the way, you'll develop practical skills in food preparation, teamwork, communication, and time management, all while working in a supportive, friendly environment with the PALS team by your side.

Whether you're looking to build independence, try something new, or simply enjoy being part of a team that makes a difference, Canteen Essentials is a great place to start.

Volunteer at PALS op shops in Cobram and Numurkah

We are on the lookout for participants to join our op shop teams, with opportunities available in both Cobram and Numurkah!

More than just a great place to find a bargain, our op shops are a fantastic environment for participants to build real-world retail skills while connecting with the local community.

As part of the op shop team, you'll get involved in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Sorting and pricing donated goods

  • Merchandising and displaying stock

  • Customer service on the shop floor

  • Serving on the register

This is a great chance for adults with disability who want to develop practical work skills, build confidence, and interact daily with the wider community all while being supported in a friendly, welcoming team environment.

Spots are limited for both canteen and op shop positions, so get in touch with our team today to find out more or to register your interest!
