PALS welcomes Cobram & District Specialist School students

2 min read

PALS was delighted to welcome students from Cobram & District Specialist School to our Cobram Hub on 4 September for a special come and try day.

The visit gave students a first-hand look at what PALS offers and a chance to become part of our community. It was also an opportunity to show students the support services available to them, in the hope that they will choose PALS once their secondary education comes to an end.

A day of fun, creativity and connection

Hosted by our Cobram hub staff and participants, the day was packed with hands-on activities for students to enjoy like biscuit decorating and cooking, arts and crafts, music and karaoke, ready-to-use activities from our Made 2 Create and woodwork programs, and more!

Each student had the chance to make their own creation and take it home as a keepsake of the day.

A team effort

The visitation program has been a collaborative effort, with PALS staff and participants actively involved in planning and developing every activity. Our dedicated team created a wonderful range of experiences, while our participants helped welcome the students, share their own skills and connect with their visitors.

Together, we've developed a program where students can join in fun and engaging activities, meet our wonderful participants and get to know the staff who support them.

Looking ahead

PALS is proud to partner with Cobram & District Specialist School, and we thank the students and teachers for joining us. We look forward to creating more meaningful experiences, building lasting connections and welcoming students into our PALS community.
