Joanne Ryan
Chairperson
Dedicated and hard working with over 25 years’ experience in the finance industry, Joanne holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance) degree and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
Highly professional and experienced, Joanne achieves success through the introduction of clearly defined financial systems including streamlining of financial processes.
Joanne develops strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders as demonstrated in her previous senior management roles as assistant CEO, corporate & business services manager, and finance manager positions as well as extensive experience in voluntary and community roles.
Alex Kalff
Deputy Chair
With over 20 years of expertise in quality assurance, risk management, governance, research, and clinical services within the fields of speech pathology and specialist behaviour support, Alex has been dedicated to empowering organisations, disability professionals, and individuals with disabilities to flourish.
Working collaboratively to find creative ways to improve people’s lives, Alex’s empathetic approach embodies her commitment to acknowledging all people’s inherent dignity and strengths. She is passionate about all people being heard, understood, and respected.
Presently serving as the Executive Director at Trellis Australia, a specialised behaviour support provider in Victoria, Alex brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles at prominent disability services in Australia, such as Scope Australia and Cerebral Palsy Australia.
Brian Hardy
Treasurer
Brian has over 30 years experience in disability services, most recently as CEO of a children’s therapy service.
Brian worked as a Senior Executive within the Victorian Government and in large non-government organisations including Scope and Vision Australia. Brian is particularly interested in helping not-for-profit organisations run successful commercial businesses that are true to their mission and values.
Brian’s key areas of expertise include financial management, business strategy, marketing and service design and innovation Brian is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Swinburne University and Master of Arts from Latrobe University.
Bronwyn Stanley
Committee member
Bronwyn is an experienced NDIS Support Coordinator with a demonstrated history of working in the disability sector for over 15 years.
Bronwyn is a proud foster carer and grew up in the district.
She has worked in a number of areas including Quality Management, Business Management, Finances, Project Coordination and NDIS planning.
Shazia Haider
Committee Member
Holding a master’s in business management, specialising in human resources, and a bachelor’s degree in computer applications, Shazia is a human resource professional with over 20 years’ experience. She has worked with global and local ASX listed companies including IBM, Telstra, Australia Post, RMIT University and Government. Shazia is passionate about helping people find their path to develop their career, working with everyone from freshers to senior stakeholders such as general managers, directors and C-suite.
A stroke survivor with physical and cognitive disability, Shazia is extremely passionate about the role that people with disabilities can play in their communities. Shazia believes people with disability share the same desire to contribute to society, to live fulfilling lives, and to lead and drive positive outcomes for businesses they work in.
Sarah Morgan
Committee member
Sarah is an experienced senior adviser in the public sector. Sarah previously worked in Deloitte’s risk advisory service line.
She holds a Bachelor of Law and Commerce, majoring in Actuarial Studies.
Sarah’s diverse experience ranging across strategic planning, data and analytics, risk, regulatory policy and stakeholder management as well as her emphasis on creating a positive impact for society has equipped her well for her role at PALS.
Anna Graham
Committee member
Anna is an innovative, engaged and driven senior professional with experience in leading operations, community and professional advocacy and governance for small business and not-for-profit organisations.
With expertise in engagement and partnerships, she is skilled at using transparent and collaborative approaches to build trust among a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Anna applies lateral and creative approaches to cut through issues and deliver tangible organisational and project outcomes within resource restrained environments.
